betas: like the alphas, there are two betas. the beta male and the beta female. these are the second in command, the right hand man to the alphas. they back up the will of the alphas, and help to keep things orderly. the betas take up command when the alphas are away or unable to lead.
the council. head warrior/warrioress: this wolf is usually the most experienced of the warriors. they are well rounded in this area and able organize their fellow pack mates. the head warrior or warrioress is well respected by the royals, and is often looked to, to consult with battle strategies. the head warrior/warrioress often organizes patrols of their warrior pack mates.
head hunter/huntress: this role is much like the head warrior. rather than battle strategies, this wolf specializes in hunting techniques. they are usually the most experienced of their hunting comrades. the royals will look to this wolf regarding the need to consult in the area of hunting. the head hunter or huntress is well respected, and organizes patrols to feed the pack.
healer: this is a very important wolf. they tend to be rather spiritual and tranquil in their ways. the healing wolf deals with herbs, and healing the sick or wounded. this wolf is very much desired in a pack for their healing ability and prophetic wisdom. the healer is greatly respected, and the alphas often consult to this wolf regarding the best interests of the pack.
the dukes and dutchesses. warriors: warriors and warrioresses are very skilled in fighting and protecting their pack mates. they are often larger framed, swift, and agile. these wolves are known for their sparring skills, and when the pack is in trouble, these wolves are the ones that ward off enemies.
hunters: the hunters and huntresses are a vital part of the pack. these wolves are swift and patient. they can move in near silence, and hunt their pray with ghost-like qualities. the hunters feed the pack, keeping it well fed and healthy.

pups: these are the offspring of a male and a female. pups are young wolves that have yet to reach six months of age. it is in this time that they learn basic survival from their mother. after reaching half a year; however, their mothers return to their former rank, and the pups become apprentices.
apprentices: apprentices specialize in a certain rank. this could be anything from healer apprentice, to a warrior in training or even a training hunter. these are wolves that have reach six months of age, and are currently completing training to become said rank.
elders: there is no specific age to when a wolf becomes and elder. this rank is for wolves that have grown too old and retired from their former rank. they are honored for the time served, and often well respected among the pack.

omegas: these wolves are on thin ice with the pack. they are often in the midst of being punished by the alphas, having probably defied pack law. the omegas are often frowned upon by the pack members, and looked lowly upon. they have little to no say in the happenings of the pack. this is the lowest rank.
exiles: technically, exiles are no longer part of the pack. these wolves have either disobeyed the alphas, or betrayed the pack in some form. exiles have been kicked out of the pack, and most often become hated by it's members. to return to the pack territory would certainly be dangerous, and said wolf could face death as a result.
