alpha auditions.
alright loves, this is the moment we've all been waiting for, no? well, i've certainly been getting excited to get this rolling. so, i'll waste your time no more!
the overlay.
i wasn't sure how i wanted this to roll out. so it's a little experimenting, if you'll bear with me. currently, there are only two packs open for audition. those two packs would be the eastern territory, and the northern territory. because i am greedy and lame, i will be playing the alpha female of the western.
because i don't want the threads to get clogged and messy, both packs will have their own auditioning thread. in this thread, i will provide information about the general behaviour of said packs, and a form you may fill out. post this forum within the thread.
at this time, there is no deadline as to when the auditions will be closed. once i feel there are enough auditions for both packs, i will make the decision for one alpha. this alpha could be the male, or the female. this is so that each individual alpha will have the say as to who they would like to lead alongside them. make sense? now you may have noticed that the western territory says thestral pack, this is because i am going to allow the member to pick the name pack, when this is decided, i will go ahead an change the boards accordingly.
but with the role, comes a number of responsibilities. in order to have this character rank, you will need to be able to keep up with the follow.
in character expectations.
alphas are a very important role among a pack, as a result, both alphas in each pack must be active in posting.
alphas are responsibly for keeping the pack orderly, and to resolve issues.
alphas call the shots in best interest of the pack, if there is a war on the verge, the alpha takes part in deciding what to do and pack meetings.
if there is trouble among the pack, or a fight, alphas must step forward to defend or resolve the issue.
in the case that a loner wishes to join said pack, at least one alpha must accept or decline this wolf.
ultimately the alpha keeps the pack in order and sees to it that their pack survives and thrives.
out of character expectations.
if or when you get the role, you will become a staff member, rather, an alpha. this is like a mini moderator. several responsibilities come with this new found role.
firstly, you decide upon the name of the pack.
you will also be responsible for everything to do with your pack. this can be anything from the ranking system, to keeping your boards clean.
one of the mandatory things about your stats board, would of course, be the stats. feel free to take a gander at thestral's stats board for ideas. but this is flexible and up to you.
i don't care if you use the terms alphas, or rex, or whatever else, so long as there is some sort of ranking.
when i accept character profiles into a pack, they automatically become subordinates, or unranked. it is up to you how you want to sort these new members into ranks. this could be anything from in character tests, to applications like my own.
it will be your responsibility to see to the needs of the pack and pack activity. this also includes keeping it organized and moving old threads to archives, and seeing to it said threads have followed the forum rules.
as an alpha, you will also be able to help out around the site in a number of ways. often, we will look to you for plot ideas and staff discussion. vouch for the needs of the pack, and such. basically, you are like the in character moderators.
if you think you will be able to hold true to these standards, then don't hesitate, give it a shot! i will certainly be unbiased, and judgement will be based strictly on what i see in the application.
do not feel down if you do not make the first round, alphas will be finding their mates after the auditions. we will also be holding beta auditions when all of this is done, so apply, apply, apply! if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!
