general rules. one. respect is a must. here on tn, we take pride in healthy relationships between the members. sure, fun bantering and the sorts are just fine. but i want everyone to be treated with equal and the utmost respect. failure to do so will be taken care of accordingly.
two. activity, activity, activity. we can't stress this enough. in order for a site to thrive, we need active, committed members an staff. we understand completely that muse and time can be hard to come by, but please give us notice is you will not be around for 'x' amount of time. any characters or accounts inactive will be deleted a month after the last post.
three. peace and tranquility, no bickering! in character is one thing, but do not bring quarrels out of role play. if there is a dispute between members, please resolve it, or inform a staff member. as fun as drama is, lets keep it to the characters, no?
four. no chat speak will be tolerated. nowhere. okay, i understand the c-box from time to time, but you have fingers, use them! i do not want to see text talk. we want to understand what you are saying, please!
five. spam = no-no. in fact, it will not be tolerated. please refrain from flooding the c-box, and when it comes to topics, edit your post, rather than making a whole new response. it's just not classy. keep the topics related to the board, we do not want to see advertising in the middle of a character thread.
six. stealing is bad. there will be none of it! you want to be proud of your own work. it will not be appreciated with the use of thievery, and offenses will be dealt with accordingly.
seven. one main account per person. unlike some websites, where each character has their own account, we're going to stick with just one this time. it keeps things organized, and doesn't scare away new members with an excessive amount of users.
eight. usernames must be in capitals. i know, it's a pain in the butt, but it makes things look neater. you can add whatever you'd like, like exclamation marks, commas, whatever. or stuff like LOST IS RADICAL, rather than just LOST. it's really up to you, just a uniform look, i suppose.
nine. keep discussion appropriate. try to stay away from sensitive topics, such as religion, beliefs, and extremely opinionated debate. basically, common sense. don't go about offending members, we're all friends! ahaha, i love cheesiness. whew.
ten. biography password. in order to get into the board that allows you to create a character, you will need a password. this password can be found somewhere in the rules, you just have to read them. so keep a sharp eye!
eleven. enjoy, be happy. we want the best experience here on so naive. don't be afraid to ask questions, chat it up, and be radical. it's all welcome here!

character rules. one. try to be realistic. wolves do not have purple pelts, or wings sprouting from their backs. they cannot leap one hundred feet into the air, it just can't happen. be as realistic as you can, please.
two. limit yourself on characters. though there is no fixed character limit on the site, don't bite off more than you can chew. every character you have must remain active, so don't make twenty canines if you cannot post with all of them.
three. don't go overboard on pups. as fun as they are to play, they do not pop out of thin air. we understand the occassional stray puppy, but there are not going to be four puppies to every one adult in the pack. if you really want a puppy, perhaps investigate a little, adopt a puppy from a litter of two characters.
four. this site revolves around wolves and canines. this means, do not make, say, a llama. unless the plot calls for it, please stick to the guidelines. in the future, there will be a site shop, here you may be able to adopt other characters, such as foxes, cyotes, hybrids, etc. but this must be bought with the approval of an admin.
five. alphas choose the punishments. in roleplay, that is. if said character disobeys pack rules, the alpha has the right to decide upon the punishment accordingly. don't worry, said character will not be killed or anything of the sort. if you have an issue with the punishment, take it up with the member and negotiate something out.
six. consult before pups. basically, this means mind the needs and bans of the pack before having the pups. is there are twelve pups and only three adults, maybe hold off for a little bit to let things even out. this also means if there is a ban of black wolves, please do not have four black pups. you get the point. just be aware of the pack needs as well.

posting rules. one. this is a literate website. this means absolutely no one liners. we would like a minimum of at least two hundred words, please. it's not that hard. we understand the occassional writers block, but the more you give your partner, the more they can respond to you. see the pattern?
two. literacy is a must. again, that means no chat speak or text talk. please use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. i know, i should be using capitals, and i will, in the posts. we are typical more lenient with this out of character, but in character, you want to proud of your work and literacy.
three. upon joining the website, you have a week. we are not so fond of peop joining and never posting. as a result, you have a week to create a character, and get posting. if this cannot be attained, let us know, and we can work something out. this is simply so we are not getting inactive members right of the bat.
four. god-modding is shunned. immensely. characters are not almighty, invincible, unstoppable, or anything of the sort. everyone has a weakness. this means a member cannot control another member's character. and when it comes to fighting, no auto-hitting. also, no character is untouchable. both canines will be injured in battle.
five. third person, or first person posting. i, typically, prefer third person. but if you'd really like, you can post in first person, there is nothing wrong with that. also, the rules code is; greed .
six. no killing without permission. this ties strongling with the god-modding rule. sure, everything dies as some point, but you must consult with the member before killing off their character. it simply isn't fair to choose who decides and who doesn't without thinking about the other person.
seven. let us know when you are typing in ooc. this can be achieved in several ways, from brackets, to simply putting ooc: . this way we do not become confused between the actual role play, and out of character talk. this; however, is not needed in out of character topics.
